ONE-WAY HIKES FOR THE SERIOUS HIKER

Hike across the Island's mountains without turning back to your car. Here are a few sample hiking expeditions:

Hike from Sieur de Monts (Bus 4 or 10) to the Jordan Pond House (Bus 4, 5, or 6) via the Cannon Brook Trail.

Hike from Brown Mountain Gate House (Bus 6) over Sargent Mountain to Jordan Pond House (Bus 4, 5, or 6).

Hike the full length of Cadillac Mountain from the North Ridge trail head (Bus 3, 4, 5, or 10) to Blackwoods Campground (Bus 10).

Head from Sieur de Monts (Bus 4 or 10) across Champlain Mountain to Sand Beach (Bus 3 or 4).

These are steep and strenuous trails. Take a map, trail guide, and plenty of water. Do not underestimate the time required. Start early so you don't miss the last return bus at the end of your hike.
