Service Alert Updates

SPECIAL JULY 4 SCHEDULES

1. BAR HARBOR ROAD

  • Morning inbound trips will depart Mount Desert Narrows at 7:15 a.m., 8:20 a.m., and 8:30 a.m.
  • There will be no other morning Bar Harbor Road service.
  • Normal outbound service begins with the 12:30 p.m. departure from the Village Green. Normal inbound service begins with the 12:20 p.m. departure from Mount Desert Narrows and the 12:50 p.m. departure from Hadley Point.
  • Regular inbound service will operate up to and including the 4:20 p.m. departure from Hadley Point and the 4:50 p.m. departure from Mount Desert Narrows. Regular outbound service will end with a 5:30 p.m. Village Green departure to Hadley Point and Mount Desert Narrows.
  • 2. EDEN STREET

  • There will be no Eden Street service between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There will be no evening Eden Street service.
  • The last bus will depart the Village Green at 4:30 p.m.
  • 3. SAND BEACH

  • There will be no morning service on the Sand Beach route.
  • Sand Beach service begins with the 12:30 p.m. departure from the Village Green. The last Sand Beach bus will depart the Village Green at 4:30 p.m. and Sand Beach at 4:55 p.m.
  • 4. LOOP ROAD AND 5. JORDAN POND

  • Loop Road and Jordan Pond buses will operate according to their regular schedules on Independence Day.
  • 6. NORTHEAST HARBOR

  • There will be no morning Northeast Harbor service.
  • The first Northeast Harbor bus will depart the Village Green at 12:15 p.m. and arrive Jordan Pond at 1:10. The last Northeast Harbor bus will depart the Village Green at 3:45 p.m.
  • The first Northeast Harbor bus will depart Northeast Harbor at 2:05 p.m. The last Northeast Harbor bus will depart Jordan Pond at 4:40 and Northeast Harbor at 5:05 p.m.
  • THERE WILL BE NO EVENING SERVICE TO NORTHEAST HARBOR.
  • 7. SOUTHWEST HARBOR

  • There will be one morning inbound trip from Southwest Harbor  and Tremont. This bus will depart the Tremont School at 8:15, Bass Harbor Campground at 8:20, Seawall Campground at 8:25, Main Street Southwest Harbor at 8:35, Smugglers’ Den at 8:48, and Mt. Desert Campground at 9:07 a.m.
  • There will be no other morning service on the Southwest Harbor route.
  • Bar Harbor to Southwest Harbor service begins with the 1:00 p.m. departure from the Village Green.
  • Afternoon service to Bar Harbor begins with the 1:25 p.m. departure from Seawall Campground.
  • The last outbound Southwest Harbor bus on July 4 will depart the Bar HarborVillage Green at 4:00 p.m. The last inbound bus will depart Seawall Campground at 4:25 p.m.
  • THERE WILL BE NO EVENING SERVICE TO SOUTHWEST HARBOR.
  • 8. SCHOODIC

  • Schoodic buses will operate according to their regular schedules on Independence Day.
  • 9. TRENTON

  • A morning bus will depart the Acadia Gateway Center at 8:00 a.m. There will be no other morning Trenton service.
  • Normal inbound service begins with the 1:00 p.m. departure from the Acadia Gateway Center. Normal outbound service begins with the 12:15 p.m. departure from the Village Green.
  • Inbound service will operate up to and including the 4:15 p.m. departure from the AGC. Regular outbound service will end with the 5:15 p.m. departure from the Village Green.
  • 10. BLACKWOODS

  • On July 4, buses will depart Blackwoods at 8:00 and 9:00 a.m. There will be no other morning Blackwoods service.
  • Regular Blackwoods service begins with the 12:15 p.m. bus from the Village Green. The last regular Blackwoods bus will depart the Village Green at 4:15 and Blackwoods at 4:35 p.m.
  • Special evening buses will depart Blackwoods Campground at 7:05 and 7:55 p.m. They will operate to the ballfield on lower Main Street.
  • Multiple return trips will operate from the ballfield after the fireworks, with the last departure at 10:00 p.m.
  • 11. TREMONT

  • Regular service beginning at 9:20 a.m.
  • 12. HIGHBROOK

  • There will be no Highbrook service between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. There will be no evening Highbrook service.
  • The last bus will depart the Village Green at 4:30 p.m.
  • BICYCLE EXPRESS

  • The Bike Express will not operate on July 4.
  • EVENING FIREWORKS SPECIALS

    Evening Inbound Buses to the Conners-Emerson School

  • From the Acadia Gateway Center at 7:00 and 7:50 p.m.
  • From Narrows Too at 7:05 and 7:55 p.m.
  • From Bar Harbor KOA at 7:05 and 7:55 p.m.
  • From Terramor at 7:05 and 7:55 p.m.
  • From Mt Desert Narrows at 6:55 and 7:35 p.m.
  • From Hadley Point at 6:55 and 7:35 p.m.
  • From Bar Harbor Campground at 6:55 and 7:35 p.m.
  • Evening Outbound Buses from the Conners-Emerson School

  • After the fireworks, buses will offer as many trips as it takes to get everyone back to their campground. It can take as long as one hour between the first and second round of buses. A clean up bus will depart the Connors-Emerson School at 11:00 p.m.
