PLAN 3: FLY TO BOSTON

Most major domestic and international airlines offer flights to Boston's Logan International Airport.

You take a connecting flight to Bar Harbor (Fly to Bar Harbor), or you can travel from Boston to Bar Harbor by intercity bus (Bus from Boston).

If your flight arrives too late in the day for a same-day bus to Bar Harbor, you can travel from Logan International Airport to Portland via Concord Trailways or Vermont Transit. Then stay overnight in Portland and continue to Bar Harbor the next day. (Stopover in Portland) Portland is a great little city, and overnight accommodations are less expensive than Boston.
